The landscape is in a state of constant transformation. The natural elements shape, alter, leave impressions and create. All is interconnected- nothing exists independently. We are a part of this changing landscape, constantly shaped and transformed by our experiences. The terrain of life is rocky and we with our fragile existence are vulnerable, yet as we journey through life, stone by stone, experiences create stepping stones that lead towards our emerging strength and resilience.

These sculptures were inspired by Karen's connection to the natural landscape and experiences playing in the bush and creeks around Ferny Grove and Cedar Creek at Samford.
